One variant in your own Shopify catalog with at least one accepted competitor match. Matching it at several competitors still counts once. Importing your catalog does not use up this limit.
One successful catalog page request, not one product or one complete competitor check. A large catalog needs several pages per check. Included pages reset on the first of each month (UTC); purchased credits carry forward while installed and are used only after the included allowance. Paid plans are required to use purchased credits. Top-ups do not expand competitor or variant limits. Failed requests and internal retries cost no extra credits.
Yes. Enable hot mode for a competitor to check up to hourly on Monitor or every 30 minutes on Optimize. More frequent catalog checks consume monitoring credits faster. Check frequency depends on available allowance and site access. Routine hourly coverage across a larger portfolio belongs in a Scale quote.
Monitor costs $49 per 30 days. Four 10,000-credit top-ups add $116, taking that spend to $165. Optimize costs $149 with 75,000 included pages each calendar month, 15 competitors, 2,500 compared variants and a lower top-up rate. Occasional peaks suit top-ups; recurring demand may suit Optimize. Previously purchased credits carry forward.
No. Each top-up is a separate one-time purchase you approve in Shopify, including on yearly subscriptions. Monitoring pauses when included pages and prepaid credits run out. You can change or cancel your subscription in the app; Shopify shows the price and timing before you confirm. After switching to Preview, only the oldest active competitor continues scheduled checks. Account data and unused credits are removed following uninstall and Shopify data erasure.
